Heavenly Father,
I come before You today with a quiet heart, desiring nothing more than to unplug from the noise of this world and spend true, undivided time in Your presence. Thank You for the gift of Your holy Word, which is alive, powerful, and a direct window into Your heart.
Lord, Your scriptures remind me of how incredibly blessed I am just to hold Your truth in my hands and read it. As Revelation 1:3 promises, there is a special blessing reserved for the one who reads, for those who hear the words of Your prophecy, and for those who keep what is written. Father, let that blessing rest upon me today. Awaken my spirit as I read, knowing that the time is near and that every word You have spoken matters.
Forgive me for the times I have rushed past Your presence or treated Scripture like a chore. Today, I anchor myself in Your truth. Like Psalm 119:105says, Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Without it, I am walking in the dark; but with it, my steps are secure, guided by Your perfect wisdom.
Jesus, remind me daily of Your words in **Luke 11:28**, that the truly blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it. I don’t want to just be a consumer of Your words; I want to be transformed by them.
As I sit with You now, let Your Holy Spirit open my eyes to see wonderful things in Your teachings. Quiet my mind, strengthen my faith, and let me feel the profound blessing of simply being Your child, listening to the voice of my Creator.
In Jesus' mighty and holy name, I pray.
Amen.
