Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

Seeds. Seeds. Seeds. Yesterday was a day of seed planting for sure. I showed up at the event I thought that I had paid for, only to find out that whoever I paid was blessed by my ignorance. Lesson learned. While I was speaking with one of the directors of the event, I explained that I was not mad at them, but because this was an inaugural event, I wanted them to know that this could taint them, and I wanted them to be aware so that they could change or tighten a few processes for next year. I expressed that I felt God had led me there to speak to them. I did try to get in anyway, but they were full, and they were very upset for me that I had been scammed. We parted on good terms.

During the morning scrolls, a friend of mine was posting where they were setting up. I joked maybe I should have done that one … when the one that I thought I was doing fell through, I drove to where they were and was able to get in. I was a little late to the party, but I was still able to set up. The rain from the night before worked to my advantage and scared potential vendors off. In my haste to get set up, I did not put up my pop-up… mistake. One I won’t be making again. I was barely set up when I got my first customer. I believe that I will be earlier next month (it is a monthly event through November).

In the course of this event, I spoke to probably 50 plus people, mostly just the inviting ‘good morning’, and jovial nature, not needing floaties today. (there had been massive raining the day before) I sold enough books to cover the fee for the event, but got to hear several people’s stories and one woman’s fantastic testimony. I met a couple of new puppy friends and watched one little boy with his new Tonka Truck run up and down the path like ten times … I was worn out for him.

After packing up and getting ready to leave, I really needed some water. There just happened to be a food vendor behind me. While chatting with her, I found out that she had heard of me through people who have read my books and are promoting me. That was humbling and refreshing.
My day ended with me being over hot and over tired. My body did not want to play nice, and my poor husband was suffering through the temperature of the house. Who knew that a day of seed planting could be so exhausting?

I could have easily been rude and pressing with the first event. Many would have been. I ‘chose’ to be pleasant and share my experience and own my own mistake. I could have just driven back home and wallowed in the loss of funds, but I ‘chose’ to find another venue. I ‘chose’ to plant seeds. I ‘chose’ to be a servant. I ‘chose’ God. I know that this was supposed to be a lesson for me. I know that I was supposed to show that not all people blame others. I know that I was placed on this journey for a purpose. I am glad that I chose to serve and plant.

Daily, we have choices to make. Daily, we must decide what kind of person we are going to show to others. Daily, we must decide to choose our fleshly desires of anger and contempt or the same mercy and grace that are shown to us by the Father. I am exhausted, but I am at peace, and I know that I am making a difference … one seed at a time.

Be blessed.
