To be begotten, is to be created. But anti-trinitarians will say Jesus was only begotten, not created.
Say what? They are the same thing, folks.
That said, this idea that Jesus was begotten/created minimizes the Gospel. And this is just what satan wants. A minimized Gospel is powerless.
A created being cannot be God. (Colossians 1 and John 1 both say Jesus created everything. Therefore, He cannot he created. You don't and can't create yourself.)
For Jesus to have been created, not only can He not be God, but because of this, the atonement then becomes useless and a farse.
Only someone equal with God can suffer the penalty as our substitute that the Law of God demands sinners suffer.
Plus, this nonsense also minimzes, and really does away with, the way we are sanctified, through the ministry of the PERSON of the Holy Spirit.
