Dear Father, There's a manual that guides promotion in our institutions, and it is evident what the next level is after completing the current stage. We don't get promoted to 400 level after having just completed 100 level examinations because, aside from the challenges it would create, it also presents an undeniable reality: I am not ready for this stage. Higher levels are not mere desires; they are the result of our commitment to growth. Moreover, we are not without knowledge of this manual in various areas of life. Consequently, when we receive a report requiring us to repeat a class, we fight tears and discouragement. How committed we are to the manual of life. Yet, in contrast, we rarely speak about this same principle in our spiritual walk, as though we are unaware that physical occurrences mirror spiritual realities. There is a passage that says, "In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again..." The highlight are in the words, "By this time." It is easy to live as though the unseen is nonexistent. Yet a spiritual manual exists, and by this time we should be enlightened in matters of faith, yet we constantly struggle with doubts; we should rightly divide Your Word, yet we do not have a study plan.
