From Paradise to Promise: Discovering God’s Grace Through the Fall of Humanity
Day 2: The Voice of Temptation
“Did God really say…?”
Genesis 3:1-5
The serpent’s first attack was not against Eve’s behavior—it was against God’s Word.
Temptation often begins with doubt. Satan encouraged Eve to question what God had clearly spoken. The enemy still uses the same strategy today, planting seeds of uncertainty and offering alternatives that seem attractive.
Sin rarely appears ugly at first. It promises freedom while concealing bondage. It offers pleasure while hiding pain.
The best defense against deception is a firm confidence in God’s truth. When we know His Word, we are better equipped to recognize the lies that seek to pull us away from Him.
Reflection Questions
* What doubts have challenged my trust in God?
* How can I become more grounded in Scripture?
~Closing Prayer~
Lord, help me recognize deception and cling to Your truth. Strengthen my faith and teach me to trust what You have spoken. Amen.
Remember, God loves you and so do I.
