From Paradise to Promise: Discovering God’s Grace Through the Fall of Humanity
Day 3: The Cost of Disobedience
“Then the eyes of both of them were opened…”
Genesis 3:6-13
The moment Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, everything changed.
Instead of becoming more like God, they became aware of their guilt. Shame entered the world. Fear replaced confidence. Hiding replaced fellowship.
Sin always costs more than it promises.
One of the most revealing moments in the story occurs when God asks, “Where are you?” God knew their location, but He wanted them to recognize their condition.
Many people still respond to failure by hiding—from God, from others, and even from themselves. Yet God continues to seek those who have wandered away.
Reflection Questions
* Are there areas of my life where I am hiding from God?
* What would it look like to bring those things honestly before Him?
~Closing Prayer~
Father, thank You for seeking me even when I fail. Give me the courage to walk in honesty and repentance. Amen.
Remember, God loves you and so do I.
