It's a pleasure to be here and interact with men of like precious faith.
Jesus is our Lord and loving Saviour. Being saved is not an abstract religious jargon. It is an experience, an event that takes place in one's life resulting in a transformation and change that is real and formidable. Salvation turns an armed rober to gentle lover of his neighbour, a prostitute to a saint, an occult or voodoo person to a follower of Christ and so on and so on. Salvation in Christ happens when a person realizes his sinfulness and the need to be freed from that slavery to sin, lying committing adultery or fornication, stealing, hating and exhibiting bitterness to others, rejection of God and His word, etc., and such a person repents, forsake his sinful lifestyles and surrenders to Christ in prayer for salvation. (Acts 3:19). He then will experience a rather dramatic spiritual transformation that makes life truly real and totally different from what it used to be. This was my own experience. Night turns to day. And the saved persons feels a deep sense of hatred for those former sinful habits and begins to be attracted to doing good and loving people in a special way. Peace flows into the heart like a river flooding the heart with joy unspeakable. 2Corinthians 5: 17 speaks of any man in Christ becoming a new creature, old things are done away with and all things become altogether new. Jesus told Nicodemus that except one is born again he cannot see let alone enter the kingdom of God. This experience of newness of life is what it means to be born again.
My question to anyone reading this post right now, is are you saved? Are you born again? Have you become a new creature in Christ? If not, why not. Let no one remain at the level of nominal Christianity for there is no hope of eternal life for such persons. If the answers to the above questions is in the negative or even uncertain, do the needful today. Repent from all your sins and embrace the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour. He loves you just as you are provided you are ready to respond and turn to Him. Confess your sins to Him in prayer and surrenderedly receive Him into your heart. Do it today, infact now, not later. Delay may defeat the essence and this can be dangerous. Today is the accepted time, this is the day of salvation.
