Kingdom Carriers | Seeing the Person
Recently, as I was heading to my office, I was carrying a few books that had been requested by others.
As I entered the first floor, I crossed paths with a colleague I hadn't seen for some time.
After greeting one another, she explained that she had recently been transferred to another department and apologised for not being able to attend the workplace prayer and fellowship.
As we spoke, I noticed her eyes repeatedly glancing toward the books I was carrying.
It was a small detail.
Easy to miss.
So I simply asked,
"Do you have copies of these?"
She replied that she didn't.
I then asked if she would like some.
Her response was immediate and enthusiastic.
"Yes."
As I handed them to her, she thanked me warmly.
The encounter lasted only a few minutes.
Yet it reminded me again that sometimes the most meaningful opportunities come from simply paying attention.
A conversation.
A glance.
A moment of attentiveness.
The Kingdom often moves at the speed of relationships.
All glory and honour belong to Him.
Grace and peace,
Jacob
