A journey through Jesus' teachings and God's promises about our eternal home.

Monday June 15

Jesus spoke of heaven not to satisfy curiosity but to inspire faithfulness, hope, and trust. His teachings remind us that - Heaven Is Being with Jesus

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." — John 14:3 (NIV)

When people think about heaven, they often imagine streets of gold, angels, or endless beauty. While Scripture describes wonderful things about heaven, Jesus emphasized something even greater: being with Him.

On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus comforted His disciples by promising that He was preparing a place for them. Heaven is not merely a destination; it is the fulfillment of a relationship. The greatest joy of eternity will be seeing Jesus face-to-face and dwelling in His presence forever.

Whatever disappointments, loneliness, or losses we experience now will be overshadowed by the reality that we will never be separated from Christ again.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for preparing a place for me. Help me remember that the greatest treasure of heaven is being with You. Increase my love for You and my anticipation of that day. Amen.

Today's Thought
Heaven is wonderful not primarily because of where it is, but because Jesus is there.
