God's gift to Simeon was very special and made him feel deeply moved. Simeon is a symbol for all people from every country, race, and culture who seek God's salvation. Luke emphasizes that God's salvation is for everyone. Also, God's light has come. Let's welcome the sunrise and share it with others.

Prayer
Lord God of all nations, I pray not only for peace on earth but also for everyone in the world to learn about Jesus in the coming year. Please open my eyes to the people around me who need Your grace. Give me the strength and the right words to say so that they can see how You can save them. Move me to be kind to those who are sharing Your message of salvation around the world. Stop what Satan is doing. Don't let the enemy keep whole countries in the dark. Please use me to make a way for grace to bring Your salvation to their darkness. Make Your Kingdom win by making Your grace win everywhere in the world. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
