Need to know.
SELF ON THE CROSS—CHRIST ON THE THRONE.

Daily Sanctification Means the Whole Life Belongs to Jesus

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly…”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV

Sanctification is not decorating the old life with religious language.

It is not polishing self until it looks holy.
It is not knowing prophecy while the heart still protects sin.
It is not defending truth while resisting transformation.

SANCTIFICATION IS SELF ON THE CROSS—AND CHRIST ON THE THRONE.

God is not asking for half of you.

Not Sabbath only.
Not church attendance only.
Not Bible knowledge only.
Not outward reform only.
Not powerful posts with an unsurrendered life.

GOD WANTS THE WHOLE LIFE.

Mind.
Tongue.
Appetite.
Body.
Home.
Work.
Habits.
Motives.
Secret life.

If Christ is not ruling all, self is still ruling somewhere.

1. SANCTIFICATION IS A LIFELONG WORK

Sanctification is not one emotional moment at the altar.

It is daily growth.
Daily surrender.
Daily overcoming.
Daily walking with Christ.

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”
— 2 Peter 3:18 KJV

“Sanctification is not the work of a moment, an hour, a day, but of a lifetime.”
— The Acts of the Apostles, p. 560

TRUTH:
A soul is not sanctified because it once felt touched.
It must keep growing in grace.

YESTERDAY’S VICTORY CANNOT REPLACE TODAY’S GROWTH.

2. TRUE SANCTIFICATION IS DAILY DEATH TO SELF

Sanctification is not self-improvement.

It is self-crucifixion.

Pride must die.
Appetite must die.
Bitterness must die.
Worldliness must die.
Secret sin must die.

“I die daily.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:31 KJV

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
— Luke 9:23 KJV

“True sanctification… is nothing less than a daily dying to self…”
— The Sanctified Life, p. 7

TRUTH:
Christ cannot fully reign where self is still protected.

SELF MUST GO TO THE CROSS BEFORE CHRIST CAN TAKE THE THRONE.

3. SANCTIFICATION MEANS FULL SURRENDER TO GOD’S WILL

True sanctification does not bargain with God.

It does not say:

“Lord, take my life—but leave my idol.”
“Change my habits—but not my appetite.”
“Rule my words—but not my temper.”
“Cleanse my public life—but not my secret life.”

“Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God…”
— Romans 12:1 KJV

“Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?”
— Acts 9:6 KJV

“True sanctification is an entire conformity to the will of God.”
— The Sanctified Life, p. 9

TRUTH:
Sanctification bows before God’s whole will.

DO NOT ASK GOD TO SANCTIFY WHAT YOU STILL DEFEND.

4. SANCTIFICATION IS NOT INSTANT—IT IS DAILY GROWTH

The truly sanctified soul does not boast, “I have arrived.”

It watches.
It prays.
It repents quickly.
It grows steadily.
It depends fully on Christ.

“The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”
— Proverbs 4:18 KJV

“There is no such thing as instantaneous sanctification.”
— Counsels for the Church, p. 56

TRUTH:
Sanctification produces humility, not spiritual pride.

THE SANCTIFIED SOUL DOES NOT BOAST—IT ABIDES.

---

5. SANCTIFICATION IS DAILY COMMUNION WITH GOD

Sanctification cannot survive on occasional prayer.

A branch must remain in the vine.
A lamp must receive oil.
The heart must stay connected to Jesus.

“Abide in me, and I in you… for without me ye can do nothing.”
— John 15:4–5 KJV

“Sanctification means habitual communion with God.”
— The Review and Herald, March 15, 1906

TRUTH:
A soul cannot remain holy while visiting Christ only when trouble comes.

A BRANCH CANNOT LIVE BY VISITING THE VINE ONCE A WEEK.

6. SANCTIFICATION MUST BE SEEN IN DAILY LIFE

Truth must not stay in the mouth.

It must enter the home.
It must enter the workplace.
It must enter the speech.
It must enter the habits.
It must enter the secret life.

“Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”
— Colossians 3:23 KJV

“Let your light so shine before men…”
— Matthew 5:16 KJV

“Sanctification… will reveal the outworking of the principles of truth in the daily life.”
— Manuscript Releases, Vol. 5, p. 343

TRUTH:
Sanctification is seen when you speak while irritated, serve without applause, work without being watched, treat family with patience, and choose purity in private.

A SANCTIFIED LIFE DOES NOT MERELY DEFEND TRUTH—IT LIVES TRUTH.

7. SANCTIFICATION CLEANSES FROM SIN

Jesus does not save us so we can decorate sin with religion.

He saves us from sin.

Not only from guilt.
Not only from punishment.
But from sin’s power, slavery, and dominion.

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
— John 17:17 KJV

“Thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
— Matthew 1:21 KJV

“Sanctification consists… in cleansing from sin…”
— The Sanctified Life: A Brief Sketch, p. 6

TRUTH:
Grace does not make sin safe.
Grace makes sin hateful and Christ precious.

CHRIST DID NOT DIE TO COVER CHERISHED SIN—HE DIED TO BREAK ITS POWER.

8. SANCTIFICATION OBEYS GOD’S WORD

True sanctification does not resist Bible truth when it cuts.

It does not call obedience legalism when love is the motive.
It does not argue with light when God reveals duty.
It obeys because Christ is loved.

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
— John 14:15 KJV

“Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
— James 1:22 KJV

“Those who are truly sanctified will reverence and obey the word of God…”
— The Review and Herald, March 25, 1902

TRUTH:
A surrendered heart does not ask how close it can stand to sin.

A SANCTIFIED HEART DOES NOT ASK, “HOW LITTLE CAN I OBEY?”
IT ASKS, “LORD, WHAT WILT THOU HAVE ME TO DO?”

9. SANCTIFICATION PREPARES US FOR CHRIST’S COMING

God is preparing a people who do more than know prophecy.

They must reflect Christ’s character.

Correct charts cannot replace clean hearts.
Warning the world cannot replace surrendering the life.
Knowing the beast is not enough if self still rules within.

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”
— Hebrews 12:14 KJV

“Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
— Revelation 14:12 KJV

“When the character of Christ shall be perfectly reproduced in His people, then He will come to claim them as His own.”
— Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 69

TRUTH:
The final generation needs more than prophetic information.
They need Christlike transformation.

PROPHECY WITHOUT SANCTIFICATION CAN MAKE A PERSON INFORMED—BUT UNPREPARED.

WHAT GOOD IS PURE DOCTRINE IF THE HEART REMAINS UNSURRENDERED?

God does not only want truth in your mouth.
He wants truth in your life.

Sanctification is not legalism.
It is love surrendered.
It is grace cleansing.
It is Christ living in the soul.
It is self crucified and Jesus crowned.
