Joy in Troubles

James 1:2 (KJV)
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;”

James is not saying trials feel joyful—he’s saying they can be counted as joy because of what God produces through them.

Troubles don’t just test us; they refine us. Pressure reveals what faith is made of, and God uses it to grow something deeper than comfort: patience, maturity, and endurance.

When life feels scattered or heavy, this verse reframes it—our situation isn’t wasted ground. It’s growing ground.

So the “joy” isn’t in the pain itself, but in the confidence that God is still at work inside it, shaping something stronger than what existed before.
