TOPIC: LIVING WITH ETERNITY IN VIEW
Many do not truly understand why they are still alive, especially when they see people leaving this world every day.
It is not because they were more careful, healthier, wealthier, more cautious, more righteous, or holier than others. Rather, every new day is a reminder that this world is not our final destination. It is meant to teach us that there is life beyond death, that our time on earth is temporary, and that life itself is a gift entrusted to us by God.
Every breath we take reminds us that seeing the next second, minute, hour, or day is never guaranteed. Therefore, we should live with eternity in view, prepared to meet God at any moment. Such an understanding should awaken the conscience, produce reverence for God, and move the heart toward repentance and obedience.
To be kept alive for another day is not the result of human effort alone, but of God's grace and mercy. Yet many do not understand this. They continue to live carelessly and without thought for eternity.
Many remain unrepentant and stiff-necked. They live as though tomorrow belongs to them, forgetting that their lives are like a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.
How gracious it is when a person lives with the consciousness that every day is a gift from God, every moment is borrowed time, and every soul must one day stand before its Creator.
