Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke was the greatest man of God I have ever had the opportunity to be around, travel with, and assist on many occasions. He carried a passion for Jesus, the lost and the Holy Spirit that was unlike anything I have ever seen. He once said:

“The less Holy Spirit we have, the more cake and coffee we need to keep the church going.”

What a powerful reminder.

The Church was never meant to be sustained by programs, entertainment, or human effort alone. It was born through the power of the Holy Spirit, and it will only thrive when we make room for Him to move.

We need His presence more than our plans. His power more than our strategies. His voice more than our opinions.

May we never become so busy doing church that we forget our desperate need for the Holy Spirit.
