The Advent Truth.
"Out of the world population, 1.3 billion people are Catholics, the rest will be condemned" .
This comment perfectly captures the danger of trusting religious authority above the Word of God.
Think about what is being claimed here. According to this mindset, billions of people are automatically condemned simply because they are not Roman Catholic. Protestants, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, atheists — all supposedly doomed because they are outside one institution. But the Bible never says salvation comes through membership in Rome. It says salvation comes through Jesus Christ.
Acts 4:12 says:
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Not the pope.
Not a church system.
Not tradition.
Jesus.
And then comes the claim: “We gave you the 27 books of the New Testament.”
No — God gave humanity Scripture through inspired apostles and prophets. The church did not CREATE the Word of God. It RECOGNIZED the Word of God.
That’s like a jeweler identifying a diamond and then claiming he created it.
The apostles wrote the New Testament in the first century under inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Christians were reading and circulating these books long before the Roman Catholic Church formally dogmatized its canon at the Council of Trent in 1546. In fact, Rome did not officially and infallibly define its canon until AFTER the Protestant Reformation had already begun exposing doctrines that contradicted Scripture.
And here’s the irony:
The very Bible they claim to have “given” the world repeatedly warns against putting human tradition above God’s commandments.
Jesus Himself said in Mark 7:7:
“In vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”
The foundation of Christianity is not Rome. It’s Jesus.
And no matter how old, powerful, wealthy, or influential a religious system becomes, every doctrine still has to pass the test of Scripture.
So open your Bible for yourself.
Test everything.
Question traditions.
And follow truth wherever God leads — even when it’s unpopular.
