Thankful Thursday Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We come before You this Thankful Thursday morning with hearts overflowing with gratitude and praise. Your Word declares in Psalm 107:1, "O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." Lord, we thank You because You have been better to us than we have been to ourselves. Thank You for Your goodness, Your mercy, Your grace, and Your unfailing love.
Father, according to Lamentations 3:22-23, "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Thank You for waking us up this morning. Thank You for new mercies, new strength, new opportunities, and a fresh anointing for this day. We recognize that it was not the alarm clock that woke us up, but Your loving hand touching us with the gift of another day.
Lord, Your Word says in Psalm 118:24, "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." Therefore, we choose joy over sadness, faith over fear, and praise over worry. No matter what challenges may come our way today, we will rejoice because You are still on the throne and You are working all things together for our good.
Father, help us to obey 1 Thessalonians 5:18, which says, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." We thank You not only for the blessings we understand but also for the trials that are strengthening our faith, the delays that are teaching us patience, and the closed doors that are protecting us from harm.
Today, we lift up our families before You. Cover our spouses, children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, and loved ones with Your divine protection. Heal every sick body, comfort every grieving heart, restore every broken relationship, and provide for every need. Let Your peace reign in our homes and let Your presence be felt in every room.
Lord Jesus, we pray for those battling addiction, depression, anxiety, fear, and discouragement. Break every chain and destroy every yoke. Let those who are bound experience the freedom that comes through Christ. Strengthen those who are weary and remind them that You are their refuge and strength.
Father, guide our steps today. Open doors that no man can shut and close doors that are not Your will. Give us wisdom in our decisions, favor in our workplaces, grace in our conversations, and strength in our struggles. Let us be lights in a dark world and vessels that bring glory to Your Name.
Thank You for salvation through Jesus Christ. Thank You for the cross, the empty tomb, and the victory we have through His resurrection. Thank You for every prayer You have answered, every battle You have fought, and every blessing You have already prepared for us.
We give You all the praise, all the honor, and all the glory because You alone are worthy.
In the mighty, matchless, and victorious name of Jesus Christ we pray,
Amen.
