— Charles Spurgeon There are seasons when it is hard to understand what God is doing. We pray, but the answer does not come the way we expected. We hope, but the situation still hurts. We try to be strong, but the tears keep coming. And in those moments, it can feel difficult to see the path ahead. But even when we cannot see His way, we can still trust His heart. God’s silence does not mean His absence.
God’s timing does not mean His neglect.
God’s “not yet” does not mean He has forgotten.
God’s plan may be hidden from our eyes, but His love has already been proven at the cross. Sometimes faith is not about having every answer. Sometimes faith is simply holding on to the character of God when life does not make sense. It is choosing to believe that He is still good, still near, still working, and still worthy of our trust. Tears can blur our vision, but they do not change who God is. He is compassionate.
He is faithful.
He is present in suffering.
He is close to the brokenhearted.
He is able to bring peace where there is pain and purpose where there is confusion. So today, if you are walking through a difficult season, take heart. You may not understand the road, but you are not walking it alone. The same God who sees every tear also holds every tomorrow. When you cannot trace His hand, trust His heart. “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.”
