SEED OF LIFE
The end of all things is at hand. Therefore, be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.
• 1 Peter 4:7
The time of crisis is stealing gradually upon us. The sun shines in the heavens, passing through its usual course, and the heavens still declare the glory of God. Men are still eating and drinking, planting and building, marrying and giving in marriage. Merchants are still buying and selling. Men are jostling one another, contending for the highest position. Pleasure lovers are still crowding to theaters, horse races, and gambling hells. The highest excitement prevails, yet probation's hour is fast closing, and every case is about to be eternally decided.• The Desire of Ages, p. 636
• A Point to Ponder •
The greatest preparation for Christ's coming is not excitement about events, but a deep, living connection with Him, maintained through daily surrender and sincere prayer.
