“Who needs faith when we have US dollars? Who needs miracles when we have a Visa card?
You would think that it would be easy to be a saint in paradise. Yet, counterintuitively, it is far more difficult to live the Christian life in affluent United States than in a third-world *skubalon* hole (pardon my Koine Greek), at least in my experience.
Westerners have the luxury of having debates about whether or not miracles and supernatural deliverances do indeed happen. Why? Because we often don't have the faith to live lives that require miracles to sustain us. Come over here, and you will soon realize that every day you need a miracle to survive.
True saints shine most brilliantly for the glory of their Lord in the darkest corners of this world.
Consider a life of missions to the poorest of the poor. Consider serving Christ in the most unreached parts of the globe like Nepal and north India.”
