THE HIDDEN LANGUAGE OF FAITH
What if thanksgiving is more than gratitude?
Most people think thanksgiving comes after they receive the answer.
The Bible reveals something deeper.
Jesus said:
"Believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." (Mark 11:24)
Notice the order:
Receive first
Have later
So how do you know you've truly received?
One biblical sign is thanksgiving.
Paul wrote:
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." (Philippians 4:6)
Why thanksgiving before the answer is seen?
Because thanksgiving is the language of faith.
He also wrote:
"Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving." (Colossians 4:2)
Not just pray. Not just watch.
Pray and watch with thanksgiving.
And again:
"Nothing is to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving." (1 Timothy 4:4)
This reveals a powerful principle:
Thanksgiving is not merely gratitude for what has happened. It is agreement with what God has given.
Thanksgiving says:
"God, I accept Your promise."
"I trust Your provision."
"I receive what You have made available."
A person who has not received is still struggling to be convinced.
A person who has received begins to give thanks.
That's why thanksgiving is often the evidence that faith has moved from the head to the heart.
Remember:
God gives. Faith receives. Thanksgiving confirms. Experience follows.
A thankful heart is often a receiving heart.
Question: What promise of God are you thanking Him for today, even before you see the full manifestation?
