*MEDITATION SCRIPTURE:*
"In the last days, God says, I will pour
out my Spirit on all people." (Acts 2:17, NKJV)
*Message*
Our text today God had promised to pour out His Spirit on all people, and now that promise has become reality.
Peter emphasized that sons and daughters, young and old, men and women, would receive the Spirit's power-
This was revolutionary.
In the past, the Spirit would come upon specific individuals for specific purposes, but now the gift is for everyone who believes.
Peter quoted Joel's prophecy that God's people would prophesy. see visions, and dream dreams the Spirit empowers ordinary people to speak God's truth, receive divine direction, and understand God's purposes.
When the Spirit fills us, we are no longer just spectators.
We become God's messengers, boldly proclaiming His word to a world in need.
Peter's message also reminds us that the outpouring of the Holy
Spirit marks the beginning of the last days the period between Christ's first coming and His return. In the last days, there are warning signs in the heavens and on earth that points to the coming judgment.
The message of Acts 2 is not just history; it is an invitation.
God's Spirit is still being poured out today.
The same power that filled Peter and the disciples is available to us.
Through the Holy Spirit.
God empowers us to live boldly.
speak His word,
see His visions, and
fulfill His purposes
