Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.
My basement is no longer a frog pond. Praise Jesus. New sump pump is installed. Most of my yard is mowed. I slept like a baby. The day is absolutely beautiful.
Today’s agenda will be that at some point; I will finish the yard. I am going to get some writing done. I need to schedule a radio commercial for my event in Wabash at Joy Christian Book Store next month. I need to inventory and prepare for my signing at the Oxford Library on Thursday. Load the dishwasher. Finish the new laundry. And maybe, just maybe (probably not to be honest, but it sounds good) sweep the front room and the kitchen. However, nothing will completely get started until I finish my nice, flavorful, hot cup of coffee. I have had my first prayer, now I MUST have coffee. Two very important items at the beginning of a day.
Birds are singing proudly outside my office window. Their melody is like that of the angels, letting us know that the day before us is a blank canvas and anything is possible, so not to worry, that He is already there. Today, I have a few things that I am planning to do, and what gets accomplished will be fantastic, but what does not will still be there for another day. Scripture says that we are not to worry…I choose to follow that particular instruction. I have lots running through my mind, and yet, I am calm.
After the event on Thursday, my sword (bible) came up missing. I had no idea where it went. I thought maybe I had packed it in with my books, but when I checked, it was not there on top, where I thought it would be. I checked the truck and other items, and nothing. For four days, I was without my diligent sword. I giggled at the enemy because he must have thought I was powerless without it. Where it is quite powerful and calming, my true power is in my relationship with the One who created me. Last night I decided to take another look at all the containers that I used to transport my books and things. Guess what I found? Yup. My sword. Pink. Tattered. Worn. And ready for battle. Apparently, I had placed it in the container first and my books on top. No worries, my God never left me.
I realize that I am a bit squirrelish today. My apologies. The take away for today is simple … with or without your bible near, the Father is always with you … regardless of the mountain of tasks before you, there is time to take them one at a time … if God takes care of the birds of the sky and the animals of the land, He will definitely take care of you, for you are more precious to him than those … worry is the enemy’s sword, don’t allow him to control you with it, seek God.
Be blessed.
**Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? – Matthew 6:26
