Should Women Be Allowed to Preach in Church? Is It Biblical?
I hope you know what happened when Jesus was raised from the dead. It was a woman that was the first person to behold him. Mary Magdalene was that woman.
And for those of you that think that God doesn't give women ministry, the first messenger that Jesus sent was not the apostles. The first messenger and she sent that woman to men. Men that were hiding in caves.
For those of you that... Right there, commissioned her from the gravesite and said, go look for my brothers. They're in hiding. They have switched off their phones.
Some have destroyed their SIM cards. Look for them in the night because they won't come out in the morning. And then Jesus told her again, he said, look for my brethren.
You know, you're going to say, and Peter. As if Peter is not part of his brethren. So I was wondering, why did he say, and Peter? He isolated Peter and put Peter in one.
You know why? Because Peter was the one that denied him. And so at that time, Peter was already in self-pity. So he sent a woman to him and said, make sure you meet all the... You can meet the brethren generally, but meet Peter individually and tell him, I sent you to him so that you can recover him from his drowning state.
It was a woman that was given that task. And you may not know, but most of the food soldiers that do the greatest damage to the kingdom of darkness in the end time are women. This person said to Apostle Gideon, sir, what can you say about women preachers? A lot.
Okay. He quoted two passages, 1 Timothy 2 and 1 Corinthians 14. But he didn't give us the verses.
So 1 Timothy 2 and then 1 Corinthians 14. Okay. So I think I understand these kinds of questions.
They are normal questions, women preachers, women preacher. The Bible is very clear, right? That the passage in 1 Corinthians, I think there's a passage also in 11, that says, when a woman prays or prophesies with the hair uncovered. So it means that the Bible envisages that women will pray and women will prophesy.
So every woman that prays or prophesies with her head uncovered, dishonor her head. And it talks about when a man prays or prophesies, isn't it? So if a woman can pray and prophesy, and we're told, for instance, that Philip had four daughters, and the four daughters of Philip prophesied. I can imagine that they were not doing private prophecy or, you know, prophecy in the kitchen, that kind of thing.
That probably wasn't what was going on. I think the real issue that the Bible deals with, with regards to the place of women, is not whether women can participate in these activities, because women are legitimized to preach the gospel. It's not going to all the world and preach to every creature.
It wasn't talking to the males. It was talking to believers. So what really this question is about, really, the only area of contention is not whether women can preach, or whether women can prophesy, or whether women can, you know, exercise any of the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives in that sense.
The real thing here is eldership. So when you are talking about who is the elder in charge of a church, like the bishop, the presiding bishop, who is the, in general, in today's language, sometimes it will be a language of overseer, who is the overseer over the thing. That's an administrative role.
That is not necessarily a spiritual office that you are dispensing. Did you get that? Did you get that? The Bible clearly shows that in biblical times, women preached, women prophesied, women prayed, women were part of the active life of the church. And then women also even were told to teach other women.
So there's, I'm saying that as far as preaching itself goes, there's no real contention there. The real contention will be, is it legitimate for a woman, for instance, to be the general overseer over a church denomination or something of the sort? Are you there? That's where there is a contention. So what do I think about women preachers? Some of them are very good.
You are not satisfied. I answered the question. The question was about women preachers, and I've answered the question, and I've even helped you by saying that the only contention you may have, which is not in your question, is about women overseers, which is an ecclesiastical administrative position.
It is not the dispensing of a gifting of the Spirit. If a woman is a prophet, it means that the Holy Spirit has given this woman the gift of prophecy. Are you with me? And the Holy Spirit wouldn't be doing that if it was not to be used, because it's not a natural ability.
Do you get it? But when it comes to โ so in terms of manifesting and utilizing the giftings that the Holy Spirit gives, men and women within the church, there's no distinction. But when it comes to administrative issues, which is not what you are asking, that's my point. When it comes to administrative issues in terms of administration, that can a woman be the G.O. over a ministry, for instance.
That is where real doctrinal contention exists, not whether a woman can preach or not. So what do I think about women preachers? They are good ones. They are terrible ones.
Good preachers, men, and terrible preachers that are men. Is that okay? Just be โ a woman that wants to pioneer a work must be under a man. That's just the final matter.
I touched it a little bit. Remember, it was not Adam that was deceived. Who was deceived? The woman being deceived was in transgression.
That's what the Bible says. Women โ Hm? Is Eve Unaia? Okay, I thought you said Eve Unaia. Eve โ so โ Okay.
He said it's actually Eve Unaia. The Q&A session is not the best time to deal with this. That's why I avoided the more technical and doctrinal issues that I involved in it, all right? Just to help you.
So that women activists โ You don't get unnecessarily agitated. Jesus was supposed to ascend into heaven after his resurrection, but when you look back, I hope you know what happened when Jesus was raised from the dead. It was a woman that was the first person to behold him.
I'm now wondering, maybe Magdalene was that woman. I'm now wondering, maybe Magdalene, you were loyal to Jesus while he was alive, while he did his earthly ministry. Are you there? Yes.
Because several demons were casted out of you, and because of that you felt, even my husband will not be useful to me the way this man is. So she dedicated her life to the ministry of Jesus. Now Jesus is dead.
Her loyalty did not stop just because the man died. The men had taken off like tornadoes. They had taken off.
They were in hiding. Me and Rufus and the rest were in hiding. And then this woman, there was tension everywhere.
This woman, Mary Magdalene, she defied the tension. She defied the political tension, defied the religious tension, went into the garden, that same spot that you know there are gods, there are all kinds of stuff. She entered into the garden and went into the tomb, saw angels.
Angels were there. Questioned them, where have you taken? She didn't know there were angels, but he questioned them. Left the tomb, came out, and then saw Jesus, thought he was a gardener, and said, where have you taken him? Tell me so that I can go and retrieve his body.
That's what I was meditating on yesterday night. I said, what loyalty is this? What does this woman want to gain from the dead? Can you see that Jesus was on his way to heaven? Because of that loyalty, Jesus changed his route and called her Mary. The woman wanted to hug him.
Don't touch me, because I have not yet ascended to my father. If the woman had touched him, the salvation he procured would only apply to her. Don't touch me yet.
That was when he took a sample of his blood to take into the Holy of Holies. So, Jesus, as the high priest, was taking that blood to go and present. And then, can you see how powerful that woman was? That Jesus had to delay.
Our redemption was in view. The equation that would form the platform of salvation was in view. It was urgent that humankind had to be recovered from her departure.
But a woman cried. And for those of you that think that God doesn't give women ministry, the first messenger that Jesus sent was not the apostles. The first messenger, and she sent that woman to men.
Men that were hiding in caves. For those of you that... Right there, commissioned her from the gravesite. And said, go look for my brothers.

So that you can recover him from his drowning state. It was a woman that was given that task. And you may not know, but most of the foot soldiers that will do the greatest damage to the kingdom of darkness in the end time are women.
You might even think that men have courage. But when things begin to happen, God will now have to send undercover agents. People that in the natural don't seem to have what it takes to be dangerous.
God now empowers them and commissions them. And as part of their commission is to look for men that are backslid. Men that are afraid.
They were champions before, but in the current time, in the day of persecution, preaching is no longer a viable... May the Lord help us. The discussion about women in ministry is often misunderstood because many people focus on the wrong issue. Scripture clearly shows that women were active participants in the work of God.
They prayed, prophesied, taught, served, and played significant roles in advancing God's purposes. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are not limited by gender. If God gives a spiritual gift to a person, he expects that gift to be used for the edification of his people.
The real area of debate is not whether women can preach, pray, or minister. The discussion usually centers on administrative leadership and oversight within the church. However, when it comes to spiritual gifts and ministry assignments given by the Holy Spirit, both men and women are being used throughout Scripture as vessels of God's power and purpose.
One of the strongest demonstrations of this truth is seen in the events surrounding the resurrection of Jesus Christ. At a time when fear and uncertainty had scattered many of his followers, a woman remained steadfast in loyalty and devotion. Her commitment was not based on personal gain, but on genuine love and faithfulness.
Because of that unwavering devotion, she became the first witness of the risen Christ. This reveals an important principle in God's kingdom. God honors loyalty, faithfulness, and courage.
When others withdraw because of pressure, fear, or opposition, those who remain committed often become the recipients of divine encounters and heavenly assignments. The risen Christ entrusted an important message to a woman and sent her to deliver that message to his disciples. Through her, discouraged believers were strengthened, scattered followers were gathered, and hope was restored.
This demonstrates that God is willing to use anyone who makes themselves available to him, regardless of gender. The lesson is clear. In God's kingdom, usefulness is determined by obedience, faithfulness, spiritual maturity, and surrender to his will.
Throughout history, God has raised both men and women to fulfill strategic assignments. Those who remain loyal to him, sensitive to his voice, and available for his service will always find a place in his divine agenda. As the day grows darker, the work of God's kingdom advances.
Many of the people God will use powerfully to impart lives, strengthen the church, and confront the works of darkness will be individuals who have remained faithful to him. Among them will be women whom God has secured, empowered, and commissioned for his purposes. Thank you for watching.
God bless you. Amen.

Amen.
