The Wound in the Heart.

The wound in the heart often aches more than the wound in the physical body.

A wound in the physical body may heal with time, leaving only a scar behind. But a wound in the heart can linger for years. It can pierce so deeply that no human remedy seems able to reach it.

Yet there is hope.

When we seek God and bring our brokenness to Him, He can do what no one else can do. He heals the wounded heart, comforts the grieving soul, and restores what pain tried to destroy.

The memories of the hurt may remain, just as scars remain on a healed body. But the pain no longer rules the heart. The ache is gone. The wound has been healed by the loving touch of Christ.

"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." — Psalm 147:3.

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes..." — Revelation 21:4.

Through God's healing and comfort, you may remember what happened, but you will no longer carry the wound in your heart. You will carry only the testimony that Christ healed you.
