Notice the Beauty Around Us
Beauty is often much closer than we think.
A patch of blue sky between buildings.
The shade of a tree on a hot afternoon.
The gentle song of a bird before sunrise.
Sunlight filtering through a window.
The quiet colors of an evening sunset.
These simple moments often pass unnoticed, yet they are gifts placed in our path by a loving God.
We live in a world of noise and hurry.
Our eyes are fixed on screens.
Our minds race toward the next responsibility.
Our schedules leave little room for wonder.
We rush from one task to another, often forgetting to truly see.
And yet, God continues to speak.
He speaks through creation.
"The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork." — Psalm 19:1
Creation is not merely scenery; it is revelation.
A single flower blooming through cracked concrete preaches hope.
A bird building its nest teaches perseverance.
The rhythm of the seasons reminds us that life moves according to God's wisdom, not our anxieties.
Even in crowded cities of concrete and steel, beauty finds a way to break through.
As Chiara Lubich beautifully observed, even a small patch of blue sky visible between skyscrapers can become a reminder of God's presence.
The problem is rarely that beauty is absent.
The problem is that we are distracted.
We often search for extraordinary experiences while overlooking the quiet miracles surrounding us every day.

Today, resist the temptation to rush through life.
