FAITH THAT AMAZES JESUS
```TEXT: MATTHEW 8:5-13```
```KEY VERSE:``` "When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel" (MATTHEW 8:10).
Jesus had just come down from the mountain after teaching. Now He was showing that the Kingdom He preached about has power. He cleansed a leper with a touch, then a Roman centurion came with a request. His servant was sick at home, paralyzed and suffering. But this soldier understood authority. He didn’t ask Jesus to come. He said, “Speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.” That faith stopped Jesus in His tracks. The Son of God marvelled.
Three truths from the centurion’s faith: One, great faith sees Jesus’ authority. “For I am a man under authority… and I say… Go, and he goeth.” The centurion knew that distance was not a problem for power. Calvary proved it — one word from the Cross shook hell and opened graves. Two, great faith is humble. “Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof.” He didn’t demand a visit or a sign. He just trusted Jesus’ word. Three, great faith receives miracles. “Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.” The servant was healed that same hour. What you believe about Jesus determines what you receive from Jesus.
What impossible situation is in your house today? Sickness, wayward child, financial paralysis? You don’t need to drag Jesus to the scene. You need to bring the scene under His word. Speak His promises back to Him. Stand on His authority, not your worthiness. The same Jesus who healed with a word still speaks today. Believe Him, and you will see Him do it.
