1 Samuel 1:3-5:11 Interlinear Volume II
1 Samuel 1:3 And that man went up from his city from year to year to worship and to sacrifice before Jehovah of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were priests to Jehovah there.
1 Samuel 1:9 And Hannah rose up after eating in Shiloh, and after drinking. And Eli the priest was sitting on the seat by the sidepost of the temple of Jehovah.
1 Samuel 1:11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O Jehovah of hosts, if You will certainly look upon the affliction of Your maid servant, and shall remember me, and not forget Your maid-servant, and shall give to Your maid-servant a man-child, then I will give him to Jehovah all the days of his life; and a razor shall not go up on his head.
1 Samuel 1:16 Do not put your maidservant down for a daughter of wickedness; for from the abundance of my complaint and vexation until now I have been speaking.
1 Samuel 2:3 Do not multiply your haughty words; let not arrogance go out from your mouths; for Jehovah is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.
1 Samuel 2:9 He keeps the feet of His saints, and the wicked are silenced in darkness; for man does not become mighty by power.
1 Samuel 2:11 And Elkanah went to Ramah, to his house. And the boy served Jehovah before Eli the priest.
1 Samuel 2:16 And if the man said to him, Let the fat be made to smoke as the day, and then take as much as your soul desires; then he would say, No, but you shall give it to me now. And if not, I will take it by force.
1 Samuel 3:3 And the lamp of God had not yet gone out. And Samuel was lying down in the temple of Jehovah, where the ark of God rested.
1 Samuel 3:9 And Eli said to Samuel, Go, lie down; and it shall be, if One calls you, even you shall say, Speak, O Jehovah, for Your servant hears you. And Samuel lay down in his place.
1 Samuel 3:11 And Jehovah said to Samuel, Behold! I am doing a thing in Israel at which the two ears of every one hearing it shall tingle.
1 Samuel 3:16 And Eli called Samuel and said, Samuel, my son. And he said, Behold, I am here.
1 Samuel 4:3 And the people came into the camp, and the elders of Israel said. Why has Jehovah beaten us today before the Philistines? Let us take the ark of the covenant of Jehovah to us, and let it come into our midst; and it will save us from the palm of our enemies.
1 Samuel 4:9 Make yourselves strong and become men, O Philistines, lest you become slaves to the Hebrews, and they were slaves to you. Then you must be men and fight.
1 Samuel 4:11 And the ark of God was taken, and the two sons of Eli died, Hophne and Phinehas.
1 Samuel 4:16 And the man said to Eli, I am he who has come from the ranks, and I fled today out of the ranks, And he said, How did the matter go, my son?
1 Samuel 5:3 And the men of Ashdod rose early on the next day. And, behold! Dagon had fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of Jehovah! And they took Dagon and put it back in its place.
1 Samuel 5:9 And it happened after they had brought it around, the hand of Jehovah was against the city with a very great destruction. And he struck the men of the city, from the least to the greatest; and hemonhoids broke forth in them.
1 Samuel 5:11 And they sent and gathered all the rulers of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it return to its place. And it shall not put me to death, even my people. For there had been a great destruction throughout all the city. The hand of God had been very heavy there.
