According to their model, the impact also blasted soot, ash, and dust into the atmosphere, producing a prolonged global cooling period that contributed to the extinction of many dinosaurs.

What makes this so interesting is how many parts of the story sound familiar. A global wall of water racing across the earth. Widespread destruction and death. Dust and ash filling the atmosphere, followed by a cooling period. Those are exactly the kinds of effects one would expect from a worldwide Flood.

The key difference is the timeline. Instead of viewing these events through millions of years of evolutionary history, the Bible records a real global catastrophe in the days of Noah. The water came. Many dinosaurs that were not on the Ark perished. The atmosphere would have been filled with volcanic ash, dust, and debris, affecting the climate afterward.

I always find it fascinating to watch scientists piece together evidence of global catastrophe. They recognize the water, the destruction, and the environmental aftermath. The real question is whether they are interpreting that evidence within the correct historical framework.
