Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.
What a relaxing day it was yesterday. A good message, good fellowship, and good hugs to start the day. Lunch with friends at a good restaurant. Then off to the other side of town to get some items for my mom and then to go see her. While at the store, several encounters with random people … putting smiles on faces to let them know that nice people still exist. I love the random comment to someone who has a scowl on their face: “Keep smiling, it looks good on you.” The response is shock, then giggles because they knew they were not smiling. But I looked past the outward look to their heart. I tried to get the flower waterer to spray my husband down; she was laughing so hard. I even tried to pay her … I am sure she thinks I am crazy. Hubby played along graciously. After we got home, I sat down for just a second, and the next thing I knew, it was time for bed. I sank into my chair and rested.
Yesterday was needed for my reset. Today I have a couple of yards to mow, a quick trip this morning to get hubby’s blood work, and some writing later. A couple of follow-up emails and calls for events coming up, but a pretty simple day. I probably won't even get out of my sweats. Seems like a good sweats kind of day.
The enemy likes to try and spin things that are easy and calm into something that it is not. The enemy calls my yesterday a waste of time because I did nothing ‘productive’ and/or multitasking … yesterday was quite productive … connections were made, and as far as multitasking … you ever try to get a store full of people to smile…haha. He, already this morning, is throwing all kinds of things in my direction that I ‘should’ be doing, instead of typing this out. Or … I love this ploy … you should be writing about this that we were thinking about last night. You know that really big topic. You need to write about that. Not this. Yesterday…you remember … stop writing so you can remember …. On and on and on … He tries to get me to stop and redirect … knowing full well that I have no clue what it was I thought about yesterday. But if I focus on that … then you don’t get this message either and he wins … with no message provided.
I choose to talk to you all this morning about keeping your peace. When the noise in your head starts to take over … stop … drop (the chaos) and roll (with God). The enemy’s fires have no power against His water of life. Keep your peace today and enjoy the beauty of the day. I am going to; I would love some company.
Be blessed.
