GOD'S WORD FOR THE DAY
“Choosing What Matters Most”
Luke 10:42
“But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
This is the Word of God. In Luke 10, Jesus visited the home of Martha and Mary. While Martha was busy with many preparations, Mary sat at Jesus’ feet and listened to His words. Jesus did not condemn service, but He reminded Martha that communion with Him must come before all else.
Life can become filled with responsibilities, worries, and distractions that slowly take our focus away from God. The most important thing is to cultivate a relationship with Christ and make time for His presence.
May God help us choose what is truly important and keep our hearts devoted to Him above all distractions. Amen.
