ALLOW GOD TO USE YOU

One of the greatest privileges a believer can have is to be used by God.

God is still looking for men and women who will surrender their lives, gifts, resources, and time for His purpose.

Many people want God to bless them, but few are willing to be instruments in His hands.

God does not always choose the most qualified; He often qualifies those who are willing.

Throughout Scripture, God used ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things because they made themselves available.

The question today is: Are you willing to allow God to use you?

1. God Uses Available People

Isaiah 6:8
"Then said I, Here am I; send me."

Isaiah did not make excuses. He simply made himself available.

God used:

Noah to build the ark (Genesis 6:13-22)

Moses to deliver Israel (Exodus 3:10)

David to defeat Goliath (1 Samuel 17:45-50)

Mary to bring forth Jesus (Luke 1:38)

Availability is often more important than ability.

God is not looking for perfect people; He is looking for willing people.

2. God Uses Those Who Are Surrendered

Romans 12:1
"Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."

A surrendered life is a useful life.

Before God can use us effectively, we must:

Surrender our plans

Surrender our ambitions

Surrender our desires

Surrender our future

Jesus Himself surrendered completely to the Father's will.

Luke 22:42
"Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."

God's purpose becomes clear when our will is yielded to Him.

3. God Uses Clean Vessels

2 Timothy 2:20-21
"If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use."

Sin hinders usefulness.

God desires:

Holiness

Obedience

Integrity

Purity

Just as a dirty vessel cannot be used for honorable service, an unrepentant life limits God's work through us.

God uses vessels that are cleansed and consecrated.

4. God Uses People Filled With the Holy Spirit

Acts 1:8
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you..."

The disciples were ordinary men, but after being filled with the Holy Spirit, they turned the world upside down.

The Holy Spirit gives:

Wisdom

Boldness

Strength

Direction

Spiritual gifts

We cannot effectively serve God through human strength alone.

5. God Uses Those Who Are Faithful

1 Corinthians 4:2
"Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful."

Faithfulness is one of God's greatest requirements.

Many people desire great assignments but neglect small responsibilities.

Luke 16:10
"He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much."

God promotes faithful servants.

6. God Uses People for Different Purposes

1 Corinthians 12:4-6
"Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit."

Not everyone is called to the same ministry.

Some are called to:

Preach

Teach

Sing

Encourage

Pray

Give

Lead

Serve

Every believer has a role in God's kingdom.

Never compare your assignment with another person's assignment.

7. The Rewards of Being Used by God

A. You Fulfill Your Purpose

Ephesians 2:10
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works."

B. Lives Are Blessed

Matthew 5:16
"Let your light so shine before men."

C. Eternal Rewards Await

Matthew 25:21
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant."

D. God Receives Glory

John 15:8
"Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit."

Obstacles That Prevent God From Using People

Fear (Jeremiah 1:6-8)

Pride (James 4:6)

Disobedience (1 Samuel 15:22-23)

Worldliness (1 John 2:15-17)

Unbelief (Mark 6:5-6)

These barriers must be removed if we desire to be useful in God's hands.

Conclusion

God is still searching for available vessels. He used Noah, Moses, Esther, David, Peter, and Paul because they yielded themselves to Him.

The same God is looking for people today who will say, "Lord, use me."

Your education, age, background, or social status does not limit God.

What matters most is your willingness to surrender and obey.

Like Isaiah, let your response be:

"Here am I; send me." (Isaiah 6:8)

Prayer Points

Father, make me a vessel fit for Your use in Jesus' name.

Lord, remove every obstacle preventing You from using me.

Fill me afresh with the Holy Spirit and divine power.

Help me to surrender completely to Your will.

Use my life to bless others and bring glory to Your name.

Let me fulfill my divine purpose before I leave this world.

Father, let my life hear the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant," in Jesus' name.
