THURSDAY 2ND JULY, 2026

KEY VERSE:``` "And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against usโ€ฆ and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross" (COLOSSIANS 2:13-14).

Paul reminds us what happened at Calvary. We were dead โ€” not sick, not struggling, but dead in sin. The law stood against us like a long list of debts we could never pay. Every failure was written down. But Jesus took that record, every ordinance that accused us, and nailed it to His cross. He didnโ€™t hide it. He didnโ€™t excuse it. He executed it. At the Cross, your debt died when He died.

Three truths from the nailed handwriting: One, forgiveness is total. โ€œHaving forgiven you all trespasses.โ€ Not some. Not most. All. Past, present, future โ€” covered by the blood. Two, condemnation is cancelled. โ€œBlotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us.โ€ The evidence the enemy used to accuse you is gone. Satan has no receipt because Jesus paid in full. Three, victory is public. โ€œAnd having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in itโ€ (verse 15). The Cross looked like defeat, but it was a parade of triumph. Hell was disarmed the day Jesus was crucified.

Are you still living under old charges this Thursday? Guilt whispering, shame reminding, the enemy accusing? Look to the Cross again. The paper is nailed. The debt is cancelled. The devil is defeated. Walk today like someone who is forgiven, free, and triumphant โ€” because you are.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for nailing my sins to Your cross. I was dead, but You made me alive with You. I was guilty, but You declared me forgiven. I was bound, but You triumphed openly over every power. Help me to live today in the freedom You purchased. Let no accusation steal my peace. Let no old record keep me from running with You, in Your name I pray. Amen.

May the Lord silence every accuser in your life today. May the freedom of the Cross be your portion, His victory be your song, and His peace rule your heart and mind through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen. ๐Ÿผ
