Fear Not, Warrior of the King
Inspired by Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
"Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
The heavens thundered, the darkness roared, As hell unleashed its hateful sword. The mountains trembled, the nations shook, Yet God's own child stood by His Book.
The enemy marched with a million lies, Like storm-black clouds across the skies. His arrows flew with blazing flame, Yet every dart was quenched in Jesus' name.
Then through the battle, calm and clear, The Shepherd's voice broke every fear: "Fear not, My child, I stand with thee; No power of darkness can conquer Me."
The Captain came with eyes of fire, Clothed in holiness, wrapped in power. The armies of heaven filled the sky, Their battle cry shook earth and high.
His mighty hand—the righteous hand— Held fast the one who chose to stand. Though weary knees began to bend, The Lord declared, "I am your Friend."
He strengthened arms once growing weak, He gave bold words the saints could speak. He wrapped His armor round the soul, Until the broken were made whole.
The sword of truth flashed bright again, Cutting through deception's chain. The shield of faith stood broad and high, Defying every demon's cry.
The helmet guarded heart and mind; No place for Satan could it find. The gospel boots stood firm that day, No force of hell could make them sway.
The dragon roared with all his might, But could not overcome the Light. For Christ had crushed the serpent's head When from the grave He rose from the dead.
The battlefield grew strangely still, For God had spoken His sovereign will. The powers of darkness turned to flee, Defeated by Christ's victory.
So when the shadows round you close, And every wind of terror blows, Remember what your Father said— The living words your Savior read:
"Fear not... I am with you."
Not for a moment will He leave. Not for a heartbeat will He grieve That He has called you as His own, To stand before His glorious throne.
Stand therefore, warrior, lift your eyes. Your help is not beneath the skies. The King who reigns eternally Still fights for all who bend the knee.
The battle rages—but do not fear. The Lion of Judah is always near. His righteous hand will never fail, And through His strength the saints prevail.
Until the trumpet splits the sky, And every faithful saint shall fly, We'll stand in armor, strong and true, Because our mighty God sees us through.
Fear not. Stand firm. Fight on. The victory belongs to the Lord.
