SEED OF LIFE
Solomon, the son of David, strengthened his hold over his kingdom. The Lord his God was with him, and He gave him extraordinary prestige.
• 2 Chronicles 1:1
Solomon entered a reign that was promising for prosperity and prestige... Did the Lord make a mistake by placing Solomon in such a position of great responsibility? No!... The Lord told Solomon that if he would walk in His ways, His blessing would rest upon him, and he would obtain wisdom. However, Solomon failed to keep his agreement with God. He yielded to the desires of his heart, and God left him to his own impulses. Everyone has a role to play today; duties to perform, and responsibilities to bear. No one can fulfill their role acceptably without wisdom from Above.
• Conflict & Courage, p. 188
• A Point to Ponder •
