“𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥,
𝘎𝘰𝘥'𝘴 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝘸𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥.”

Life rarely comes with clear directions. We often feel paralyzed by the fog of the future. Endless choices, shifting values, and hidden anxieties leave us wandering in the dark. We want God to reveal the whole journey before we move. Whether we are choosing a path or seeking His will, the question is not whether God still guides—but whether we are willing to follow His light one step at a time.

🕮 𝐏𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝟏𝟏𝟗:𝟏𝟎𝟓 declares, “𝘛𝘩𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘱 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩.” In an ancient world without streetlights, a small oil lamp was essential for navigating treacherous, rocky terrain at night. The psalmist describes God's Word as not a floodlight revealing the whole journey, but a lamp giving enough light for the very next step.

A traveler crossing a dark forest does not need daylight for the whole journey before taking the first step. A lamp is enough to keep him from stumbling. So it is with God's Word. He leads us progressively, teaching us to walk by faith instead of by sight.

God's guidance always agrees with God's Word. “𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘖𝘙𝘋 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵... 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘴” (𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐬 𝟑:𝟓-𝟔). “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘖𝘙𝘋” (𝐏𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝟑𝟕:𝟐𝟑). 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐬 𝟔:𝟐𝟑 declares, “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘱; 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘸 𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵.” 𝟐 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏:𝟏𝟗 calls Scripture “a light that shineth in a dark place.” The Word does more than inform—it transforms and leads.

Many of our wrong turns begin when we follow feelings instead of truth. We crave shortcuts while God teaches steady obedience. 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟑𝟎:𝟐𝟏 promises, “𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘢 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘦, 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺, 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘺𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘵.” Don't act like a traveler who bought a map but refuses to open it. The brightest future is never found by following our feelings, but by following God's Word.

Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh (𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏:𝟏𝟒). He did not just bring light—He is light (𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟖:𝟏𝟐). He not only shows the way—He is the way (𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏𝟒:𝟔). On the cross, darkness fell for three hours. But the Light did not stay buried. He rose. The same Saviour who conquered the darkness of Calvary still lights the path of every believer today.

What decision has left you uncertain? What path have you been asking God to bless when He is asking you to obey? You don’t need Christ merely to give advice—you need Him because He is the Way. Open His Word today. Obey the light He has already given. Leave tomorrow's path in His hands.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us Your Word to guide every step we take. Forgive us for leaning on our own understanding instead of trusting Your truth. Teach us to walk in humble obedience, following Christ, our Way, our Truth, and our Life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Remember, a dose of God’s Word a day will keep you going all day!
