Friday Encouragement

Blessings, dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

As we come to the end of another week, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the faithfulness of our sovereign God. He has sustained us, guided us, and graciously given us strength for every task and every trial.

Tomorrow, our nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. As we give thanks for our country’s rich heritage, let us never forget that every blessing we have enjoyed as a nation ultimately comes from the gracious hand of Almighty God.

For two hundred and fifty years, the Lord has preserved this nation through times of great blessing and great difficulty. We have enjoyed freedoms that many throughout the world can only dream of—freedom to worship, to proclaim the Gospel, to gather as believers, and to openly preach the name of Jesus Christ.

As Christians, our celebration should never end with patriotism alone. Our hearts should be lifted in thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is sovereign over all nations and rulers. It is He who raises up kingdoms and brings them down according to His perfect will.

As we celebrate tomorrow, let us pray for our nation, for our leaders, for our churches, and for a spiritual awakening across this land. May America once again be a people who humbly acknowledge that our greatest need is not political or economic, but spiritual—a return to God and His truth.

As we prepare for the Lord’s Day that follows, may we remember that our highest citizenship is not earthly but heavenly. We are citizens of the Kingdom of God and ambassadors for Christ in this present world.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” — Psalm 33:12

May the Lord bless America, and may He grant us grateful hearts that give all honor, praise, and glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, from whom every good and perfect gift comes.

Have a joyful and safe celebration, and may your heart be prepared to worship our great God on the coming Lord’s Day.

Serving Christ Together for His Glory Alone.

Soli Deo Gloria.
