THE CROSS OF CALVARY
🏼

SATURDAY 4TH JULY, 2026

```TEXT: GALATIANS 6:14```
```KEY VERSE:``` "But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world" (GALATIANS 6:14).

Paul had many things he could boast in β€” heritage, zeal, learning. But when he met the risen Christ, his boast changed. He nailed his pride to the Cross and picked up a new glory. To glory in the Cross is to say, β€œNothing I have, nothing I am, and nothing I do can save me. Jesus did it all.” The Cross ends every argument about who is good enough.

Three truths from glorying in the Cross: One, the Cross crucifies the world to us. β€œBy whom the world is crucified unto me.” What once looked attractive loses its pull when you’ve seen Jesus bleed for you. The world’s applause sounds hollow next to β€œIt is finished.” Two, the Cross crucifies us to the world. β€œAnd I unto the world.” You no longer fit where you once belonged. The Cross changes your appetites, your ambitions, your allegiances. Three, the Cross becomes our only boast. β€œGod forbid that I should glory, save in the cross.” Not in achievements, not in ministry, not in morality. Our brag is blood-bought.

What are you glorying in this Saturday? Your success, your sacrifice, your suffering? Lay it down at Calvary. The ground is level there. The Cross kills pride and raises faith. It frees you from needing to impress people and from fearing their opinions. If you are in Christ, His Cross is your confidence.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, forgive me for boasting in anything but Your cross. Today I nail my pride, my plans, and my performance to it. Let the world lose its grip on me, and let me lose my grip on the world. Help me to glory only in what You did for me at Calvary. May Your cross be my identity, my security, and my song, in Your name I pray. Amen.

May the Lord draw your heart to the Cross today. May its power break every chain, its glory silence every boast, and its love keep you near to Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen. 🏼
