One Nation Under God
As we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America, we give thanks to Almighty God for His providence and faithfulness throughout our nation’s history.
America was founded upon the conviction that our rights and freedoms come not from governments or kings, but from our Creator. The principles of liberty, self-government, and human dignity expressed in our founding documents have made this nation a beacon of hope to millions around the world.
For two and a half centuries, Americans have enjoyed the precious freedoms of worship, speech, assembly, and the opportunity to participate in governing themselves. These blessings have not been preserved without sacrifice. Generations of brave men and women have defended these liberties so that future generations might remain free.
Yet freedom can never be taken for granted. Every generation bears the responsibility of protecting and preserving the God-given liberties entrusted to it. As our nation faces new challenges, we must remember that true freedom flourishes only when it is rooted in truth, virtue, and reverence for God.
Today, we honor our heritage, give thanks for our freedoms, and pray for our future. May America continue to seek God’s wisdom and blessing, remaining a nation that recognizes its dependence upon Him.
May we always strive to be:
One Nation Under God—grateful for our past, faithful in our present, and hopeful for our future.
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.” – Psalm 33:12
