Some have been arguing that other religions helped found this country. That is simply false. The fact that people of other faiths lived here does not mean those religions helped establish America’s founding principles.
America was founded within a distinctly Christian worldview. Why do you think ideas like inherent human dignity, God-given rights, moral accountability, and law above government were so deeply embedded in the nation’s founding? Those principles did not appear out of nowhere.
Our rights were not understood as gifts from government. They came from the Creator. And there is only one true and living God.
