INTRODUCTION Acts 6:8–15 introduces Stephen, one of the seven men chosen to serve the church in Acts 6:1–7. Although Stephen was appointed to help oversee practical ministry, God also used him powerfully in preaching, performing miracles, and defending the faith. His ministry quickly attracted opposition from those who rejected the gospel.
