Eagles Fly Alone.

There are generally two types of people in this world: those who “lead” and those who “follow.” For some, it is less scary to just be a follower, going with the flow, and doing what everyone else is doing. But it takes courage, discipline, and determination to be a great leader. Consider the eagle. They always fly alone and are able to climb to heights not attainable for most birds. They are not afraid of going the distance, trusting their natural instincts. On the other hand, rarely will you see a pigeon off by themselves because they flock together, both on the ground and in the air. They tend to go wherever the flock is going. Following others is a dangerous thing to do, for if you are following the wrong person, they could lead you right off a dangerous cliff! God wants you to follow Him even if you are all alone and everyone else is doing something different. Listen to God’s voice and be obedient – be a leader for Christ! The Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 4:12, “Set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” And in Hebrews 13:7, we are counseled, “Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.” Don’t worry about what others are doing or what they will think of you. What truly matters is that you keep your eyes focused on Jesus; He is the “only” One you should follow! Choose today to soar like an eagle and be a leader for Christ!
