My Author Is Not Dead: God Has Risen Jesus from the Dead to Finish Writing My Story!

Scripture: Acts 3:6–18, 25–26 (KJV)

Key Verse:"And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses." — Acts 3:15 (KJV)

Thought Of The Day...
Good morning, child of God!
Have you ever felt like your story was over? Perhaps you've looked at your marriage, your health, your finances, your family, or your ministry and wondered if the best chapters had already been written. The enemy wants you to believe that your failures are final, your disappointments are permanent, and your dreams have been buried forever.
But the Word of God declares something far greater.
The One who is writing your story is not dead.
When Peter stood before the people in Acts 3, he boldly proclaimed that although they had crucified the Prince of Life, God raised Him from the dead. That single truth changed everything—not only for Peter and John, but for the lame man sitting outside the Beautiful Gate.
For more than forty years, this man had lived with limitations. Every day looked exactly like the day before. His condition had become his identity. His struggle had become his biography. Everyone expected him to remain where he was.
Then Jesus interrupted his story through the faith-filled words of Peter:
"In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."
Immediately, everything changed.
The man who had always been carried began walking on his own. The one who had begged for survival entered the Temple praising God. In one divine moment, the Author of Life rewrote a story that seemed permanently broken.
That same Author is still writing today.
Perhaps this season feels like a painful chapter. Maybe doors have closed, prayers seem unanswered, or hope feels distant. Remember this truth: you are living in a chapter—not the conclusion. God sees the ending even when you can only see today's page.
The resurrection proves that God specializes in rewriting impossible stories. Friday looked like defeat, but Sunday revealed victory. What appeared buried was actually being prepared for new life.
Don't settle beside the grave of what God intends to resurrect.
Your testimony is still being written. Your purpose is still unfolding. Your calling is still alive. Your future is still in God's hands.
Because Jesus lives, your story continues.
Today, choose to hand the pen back to God. Refuse to let fear, failure, disappointment, or other people's opinions determine your future. Trust the Author who has never abandoned His manuscript and has never failed to complete what He began.
The empty tomb is Heaven's declaration that the final chapter belongs to Jesus.
Today's Challenge
Before this day ends, identify one area where you've quietly believed your story was over. Surrender that area to the Lord in prayer and declare by faith:
"My Author is not dead. Jesus is alive, and He is still writing my story."

Prayer...
Heavenly Father, thank You that You are the Author of Life and that Jesus rose from the grave with all power in His hands. When I become discouraged, remind me that You have not finished writing my story. Breathe new life into every dream, restore every broken place, strengthen my faith, and help me trust You even when I cannot see the next chapter. Thank You that because Jesus lives, my hope lives, my purpose lives, and my future is secure in You. Help me walk today with confidence, joy, and expectation, knowing that You are working all things together for my good and for Your glory. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Declaration...
• My Author is not dead—Jesus is alive!
• My story is not over because God is still writing.
• Every promise God has spoken over my life is still alive.
• My present pain is not my final chapter.
• My hope, purpose, and future are secure in Christ.
• I will trust the Author even when I cannot see the ending.
• Today I will walk by faith, praise God with confidence, and believe that the best chapters are still ahead.
"Because the Author lives... my story continues."

May the Lord strengthen your heart this Sunday morning and fill you with resurrection hope as you worship Him today.
