THE CHANGE FROM WITHIN (2)

"And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." (Ephesians 4:24)

When we received the gift of salvation, our human spirit was reborn. Our spirit was recreated in righteousness and true holiness. The nature of God that was lost when Adam fell was restored at the new birth.

However, man is a tripartite being - he is a spirit, he has a soul, and he lives in a body.

For lasting and effective change to occur, it must begin in the human spirit, flow into the soul, and eventually be reflected in the body.

This is why morality - good works or outward behavior is not a substitute for the new birth.

If you are born again, the seed of righteousness, expressed through love, joy, peace, and the fruit of the Spirit, has already been planted in your spirit. However, you must continually water that seed with the Word of God for it to produce fruit in your soul and body.

The Apostle Paul challenged the believers in Rome to renew their minds (Romans 12:2).

What are you feeding your mind with?

If you sow spiritual seeds into your soul, you will reap life. If you sow to the flesh, you will reap corruption (Galatians 6:8).

The choice is always ours.
We have said it many times: Everybody's spiritual growth is a personal commitment and responsibility.

Take charge of your Christian life by renewing your mind until it conforms to the mind of Christ.

Declare This:
I am born of God, and His nature is at work within me. I choose to renew my mind daily with God's Word, and I walk in righteousness, holiness, and the fullness of Christ. My spirit, soul, and body are yielded to God, and my life continually reflects His glory, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Additional Scriptures:
Romans 12:2
Galatians 6:8
2 Corinthians 5:17
Colossians 3:10
