Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

MY GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD. MY GOD IS POWERFUL. MY GOD IS THE ALMIGHTY.

A slight paraphrase from the movie War Room. The character was in her kitchen claiming this sentiment with direct and intentional prowess. She was absolutely correct. I am blessed to be one who believes in this power. Yesterday was a perfect example on so many levels.

Mom’s phone went out over the weekend. A landline. Called the company Monday; the tech needed to come out Tuesday. Tuesday we were planning to leave for Kentucky. Tech was scheduled for between 8-10. Everyone knows to plan for the later time. We got to Mom’s at 8:30. Tech was there and done and was explaining things to Mom. Then reexplained them to me and my husband. We were on the road before 9.

The day was absolutely beautiful to drive in. Some parts of the journey we were able to run with the windows down and enjoy the country air.

On our way to Mom’s, I almost forgot: the road I took is prettier to look at and windy because of the nature scenes. With that prettiness, you get deer. Though it was a tad later, 7:30-8ish when we took off, I really was not expecting to see any. I was wrong. My eye caught one, my side, near the bridge; I slowed, it ran down the field and THEN right in front of us. Because I was already off the gas, there was no issue, and I was off the gas because the Spirit made me look and see.

On the interstate, a tanker missed me in his blind spot as he went to change lanes to give room for a broken-down vehicle. The Spirit had placed me in a position where I could brake and allow him room. I had to brake hard, but there was no accident. As we cleared that area and passed that driver, he waved as an apology.

Part of the interstate that leads into where we were going is shut down for repair. We were blessed with a new view and a smooth ride.

We got to our young friend’s room and gave her a surprise. Her momma had told her she had visitors coming but would not tell her who. The beautiful smile that we got when we got in was absolutely breathtaking. We visited all afternoon. While we were there, her nurse came in and said she was being discharged to rehab. Great news.

After we were told, my husband got on the phone with the hotel to change our location for our reservation. We had to pay more, but we were able to secure a room ten minutes from the new facility our friend was going to. I was aggravated that the process was challenging, but the blessing was this new facility. I am exceptionally filled because we met a woman here whom we talked to for quite some time who is going through some stuff, and she too did not want to stay at this hotel…for her was anxiety about driving through the mountain. In our talk, I asked her permission and gave her a famous hug. Let her know if her anxiety got the best of her, to knock on my door and I would refill the hug meter.

The staff in this hotel have been joyful, playful, and engaging. I slept so well that I thought I was at home when my husband got up. He enjoyed the giggle. To top it off, we are spitting distance from a Shoney's and a Waffle House. I may not go home … haha.

What started off as a distraction and inconvenience, God placed into play the necessary elements in accordance with His will. I just needed to be willing to receive His will. What inconvenience is plaguing you today? Will you allow yourself the blessing to see His Mighty power move in your life? Open your heart to see the blessings, not the dark.

MY GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD. MY GOD IS POWERFUL. MY GOD IS THE ALMIGHTY.

** Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: “Today, if you hear his voice do not harden your hearts.” –Hebrews 4:7
