Praise God No Matter What.

The story of Job is one of the most faith-building stories found in the Bible. God blessed this man with good health, wealth, family, and friends - yet even when God allowed Satan to literally take everything away from him, as well as cause him tremendous physical suffering, Job was faithful. His response is found in Job 1:21: “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” Wow! Even though he was destitute, lost all his family and friends, and was in unbearable pain, Job praised God! What a testament to his love and trust in God! Job knew that every good thing he had been given had come from God and if God chose to take it all away, he was fine with that . . . because he had full faith and trust that whatever God had in mind for his life, was okay. Job trusted God fully and completely! When life throws you a curveball and suddenly your whole world is turned upside down, trust in God! He has promised in Deuteronomy 31:8, “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” God wants you to not only “trust Him,” but “praise Him” in the midst of your darkest hour!
