I would like unravel a heretical belief. Many are decieved into believing you can bind Satan and his demons. How can you bind a spirit? No where in scripture does it proclaim we can do this. But it does teach us to resist and overcome him.

James 4:7 AMP
So submit to [the authority of] God. RESIST
the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.

1 John 2:13 AMP
........I am writing to you, young men [those believers who are growing in spiritual maturity], because you have been victorious and have overcome the evil one........

1 Peter 5:8-9 AMP
Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour. [9] But RESIST HIM, be firm in your faith [against his attack—rooted, established, immovable]..........
