GOD SHALL LIFT YOU FAR ABOVE YOUR CRITICS
"There is nobody doing good that has never been criticized."
— Pastor Enoch King-Olayinka
Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)
"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn..."
"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."
Every great destiny attracts opposition.
If nobody talks about you, perhaps nobody notices what you are doing.
Criticism is often the price paid by those who dare to make a difference.
Never allow criticism to discourage you.
Never allow the opinions of men to weaken your resolve or determination to fulfil your God-given assignment.
The journey of greatness has never been free from opposition.
Being a good person does not protect you from criticism.
Being talented does not protect you from hatred.
Being positive does not stop negativity from finding you.
Being disciplined does not stop people from doubting you.
In fact, excellence attracts attention.
Nehemiah understood this truth.
When he began rebuilding the broken walls of Jerusalem, Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem mocked, ridiculed and threatened him.
They criticised his vision because they feared his success.
Yet Nehemiah refused to descend into arguments.
He remained focused on the work.
Nehemiah 6:3 (KJV)
"I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down..."
Great people do not abandon their assignment to answer every critic.
Lions do not lose sleep over the opinions of goats.
Joseph was criticised by his brothers because of his dreams.
David was despised by Goliath because he looked too small.
Moses was constantly criticised by the Israelites despite sacrificing everything for them.
Even our Lord Jesus Christ was falsely accused, mocked, rejected and crucified by those He came to save.
If the perfect Son of God was criticised, no child of God should expect universal applause.
Why do people criticise?
Often, your consistency reminds them of their inconsistency.
Your courage exposes their fear.
Your voice highlights their silence.
Your growth reveals their stagnation.
Many people fight what convicts them.
Do not mistake criticism for failure.
Sometimes criticism is confirmation that you are moving forward.
Remember this:
People may criticise your beginning, but they cannot stop God's ending.
The same voices that mocked Joseph later bowed before him.
The same people who laughed at David later celebrated his victories.
The same enemies who opposed Nehemiah could not stop the completion of the wall.
God has a way of promoting those who remain faithful despite opposition.
Do not waste your future trying to silence every critic.
Spend your energy pleasing God.
Walk in humility.
Remain faithful.
Keep improving.
Let your results answer your critics.
The God who lifted Joseph above his brothers, David above Saul, Esther above her enemies, Daniel above his accusers and Nehemiah above his mockers shall lift you far above everyone speaking against your destiny.
Your criticism shall become your testimony.
Your rejection shall become your recommendation.
Your mockery shall become your miracle.
Your latter end shall silence every evil voice.
Isaiah 60:15 (KJV)
"Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated... I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations."
PRAYER
1. Father, strengthen me never to be discouraged by criticism, but to remain focused on my divine assignment, in Jesus' name.
2. Lord, lift me above every voice of mockery, rejection and opposition, and let my life become undeniable evidence of Your grace, in Jesus' name.
3. Father, let every criticism against my destiny become a stepping stone to greater promotion, honour and testimonies, in Jesus' name.
I PROPHESY
God shall lift you far above your critics.
Every voice speaking against your destiny shall be silenced by your testimonies.
You shall not abandon your assignment because of opposition.
The Lord shall promote you beyond the expectations of your enemies and you shell become living proof that God honours those who remain faithful in Jesus name.
