AWESOME IS OUR GOD

How awesome is our almighty God
triumphant above every god.
Magnificent is his holy Name
and glorious his exalted fame.

Wonderful is his unending love
bestowed on us all from up above.
How remarkable is his goodwill,
that He is so patient with us still.
*
Superb are the workings of his hands,
his creations shine in all earth's lands
Tremendous the power of his voice,
yet He still gives each of us a choice!
*
Perfect is God's planning for us all,
He had these plans since before the fall.
Brilliant his design for our living,
yes, for every cherished being.
*
Outstanding is his mercy to me
that's why eternal life I will see
for if it's on myself I depend
it will be a most terrible end.
*
Breathtaking is creation's beauty
just look at the night sky and you'll see
the most glorious works of his hands—
the heavens, the stars and all the lands.
*
Splendid is creation's harmony
with the wonders around us we see.
Each single part is a perfect fit
it's only our God that could do it.
*
Unmatched is the love He has for man
and He is the only one who can
keep us safe from the evil one,
until our lives here on earth are done.
*
Amazing his patience with us all
we who are, despite his constant call,
purposely turning from his sweet voice
to go and make the incorrect choice.
*
Unequalled the splendour of his call
incoming to us since Adam's fall
his sweet voice is directing us still
to keep walking in his perfect will
*
Unbelievably great is his mercy
that He has forgiven even me
and so opened the heavenly door
that I may live with him evermore.
