# He Stayed on the Cross for Love

It was not the nails that kept Jesus on the cross.

Nails can hold hands.

They cannot hold God.

It was love that kept Him there.

Every heartbeat was filled with unbearable pain.

Every breath came with unimaginable suffering.

The One who had healed the sick...

Now carried wounds of His own.

The One who had given sight to the blind...

Looked through eyes filled with tears.

The One who had spoken life into the dead...

Was giving His own life away.

He could have stepped down.

With one word, the cross could have disappeared.

With one command, angels could have surrounded Him.

With one act of power, the world could have bowed before Him.

But Jesus did not come to prove His power.

He came to reveal God's heart.

And God's heart is love.

So He stayed.

He stayed for every sinner who believed they were beyond forgiveness.

He stayed for every weary soul searching for hope.

He stayed for every broken heart longing to be made whole.

He stayed for every generation that would one day need a Savior.

He stayed...

For you.

The cross was never about losing.

It was about giving.

Giving mercy to the guilty.

Giving hope to the hopeless.

Giving peace to the restless.

Giving eternal life to those who could never earn it.

No one has ever loved like Jesus.

No one has ever forgiven like Jesus.

No one has ever sacrificed like Jesus.

When the world offered Him hatred...

He offered grace.

When people raised their fists against Him...

He stretched out His arms to embrace the world.

When humanity gave Him a cross...

He gave humanity salvation.

And when His final breath echoed across Calvary, Heaven was not witnessing the end of a life.

It was witnessing the fulfillment of God's greatest promise.

Three days later, the empty tomb proclaimed what the cross had already begun—

Love had won.

Sin had been defeated.

Death had lost its power.

Hope had risen forever.

Whenever you wonder how much you matter to God, don't look at your achievements.

Don't look at your failures.

Look at the cross.

There you will find the measure of your worth.

A Savior who loved you so deeply that He gave everything He had, holding nothing back.

**The cross is God's eternal declaration: "I would rather bear your punishment than live without you."**

That is the sacrifice of Jesus.

That is the depth of His love.

And that is the hope that can never be taken away.
