Have you ever wondered if you've really left your old life behind? Especially when you stumble again or when people remind you of who you used to be? I love the word "depart" in the NKJV. It doesn't just mean to turn away—it means to leave. Pack your bags. Move away. Don't keep visiting what God called you out of. Then comes the next instruction: do good. They belong together. Leave evil behind and fill your life with what is good. If you're busy doing good, you'll have far less room for what pulls you back. Then we're told to seek peace and pursue it. For us, that means pursuing Jesus, the Prince of Peace. The deeper you go into His presence, the more you'll discover the peace only He can give. So today, leave the old behind, do good, and keep pursuing Jesus. Father, thank You for the wisdom of Your Word.
